Electrical Upgrade of Pipeline Terminal

Project Summary

Saulsbury performed the electrical and instrumentation construction for an electrical upgrade at a client’s pipeline terminal in Post, Texas. Our team installed the raceways, equipment, wiring, terminations, lighting, and instrumentation for the project.  

The scope of the project also included:

  • Conversion of utility power from 2400 volts to 4160 volts
  • Installation of new reclosers and M-Force switches
  • Installation of new 4160-volt, 480-volt MCC and a 500 kilovolt-amps transformer
  • Replacement of the existing 600-horsepower mainline pump to the new 700-horsepower pump
  • Replacement of the existing 2400-volt, 75-horsepower booster with two 480-volt, 60-horsepower booster pumps
  • Two – 30-horsepower mixer motors
  • Re-feeding of all equipment from the original electrical building and outdoor equipment racks to the new electrical building
