General Construction and Electrical Installation of a Natural Gas Power Plant

Project Summary

Saulsbury performed all civil work for the complete installation of foundations and under and above ground I&E for a 550-MW natural gas-fired power plant in Hobbs, New Mexico.

This was a schedule-driven project with bonus incentives for safety and schedule which were both achieved.

  • Poured 11,312 yards of concrete
  • Two gas-fired combustion turbine/generators
  • One GE steam turbine
  • Two HRSG
  • One air-cooled condenser
  • Ancillary equipment
  • Pipe rack / MPS foundations
  • Containment pads, area paving
