Plant in Watford City, ND, Marks Saulsbury’s 54th Cryogenic Construction Project

ODESSA, TEXAS– October 29, 2018 – Saulsbury was recently awarded a contract to engineer, procure, and construct a cryogenic processing facility in North Dakota’s Williston Basin for one of the largest midstream companies in North America. This facility, designed with a capacity of 150 MMSCFD, will be Saulsbury’s second project with the client in this region.

Saulsbury will be responsible for the engineering and construction of the processing facility to include liquid stabilization, slug catcher, cryogenic gas processing, and residue gas compression. Work began in August 2018 with the site expected to be in full service on November 1, 2019.

For Saulsbury, this award supports the company’s longstanding reputation as a premier oil and gas construction company, and one of the leaders for self-performing the full development and construction of cryogenic processing facilities. The company has contracted 54 cryogenic processing facilities since 2006, representing over 9.2BCF of base rate capacity, and is well known in the industry for its successful project execution and world-class safety performance.

“We are extremely excited to partner with this leading infrastructure company for a second project,” said Bubba Saulsbury, EVP, Strategy. “With the current lack of midstream infrastructure across the country, we are seeing a race to build processing capacity and Saulsbury’s speed to market mentality helps our clients projects get online and operational quickly.”

Saulsbury has been strategically preparing for this surge in oil and gas activity for several years through continued development of its personnel. Recently surpassing 5,000 employees, the company has the capacity to meet the demands of their current and future clients in these ever-changing market conditions.

“This North Dakota cryogenic processing plant project solidifies Saulsbury’s position as a leader in midstream EPC and construction-only project execution. Saulsbury’s turnkey self-performed EPC offering – being involved with every aspect of the project, from scope development to startup – is truly unique in this market,” added John Shefchik, VP and General Manager EPC.
