The United Way of Odessa held its Annual Meeting and Celebration Luncheon on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at the MCM Fundome.  The highlight of the luncheon was the presentation of the name change for the Sustained Excellence Award, now the Dick and Amelia Saulsbury Sustained Excellence Award, to honor Dick and Amelia for their dedication and long-time support of the United Way.  When Executive Director, Hank Herrick, thanked him for his support, Dick replied, “it’s what God would want me to do.”

Dick helped present the 2017 Dick and Amelia Saulsbury Sustained Excellence Awards to Saulsbury Industries, HEB, Medical Center Health System, and Odessa College. Because of the continuous donations Saulsbury employees have made to the United Way each year, Saulsbury received this award for the sixth consecutive year.

Bubba Saulsbury was recognized by Jeff Woltz, 2017 Campaign Chair, for his work on the Energy and Manufacturing committee.  John Shefchik and Courtney Wardlaw were also recognized for their service on the Board of Directors and Education Community Impact Committee, respectively.
